I was thinking about how so much of what was considered cutting edge graphic design in the 80s is now very simple to anyone with basic design skills. As such, I set myself the geek challenge to re-create album covers of the 80s using only html and CSS.
My rules were that I would be allowed one un-photoshoped photograph per album, and that the HTML without CSS must be readable as the name of the band and album. You can click "Turn CSS off/on" to see each one without CSS.
Here's how I got on.
